"Meanwhile...The band are delighted to announce that they have been reawakened from a hideous state of limbo and inactivity in 2006.

They have reformed themselves out of moss and discarded detritus found around the urban wasteland. The Band have now played their first live show in over a decade at the Malvern Youth Center (Saturday 18th November 2006)

Omnia Opera have been rejuvenated with new members completing the full ships crew. Replacing Mr Ade Scholefield on Synths is “Mr Alf Hardy” from Coventry, full time space cadet formerly of “Dave Brock and the Agents of Chaos” (Hawkwind) and “Tubilah Dog” Both bands of the highest sonic quality.

The replacement of the “Clone Drones” the two “female hermaphrodite singers” has also been necessary the old models were in a shocking state of disrepair and unable to function their diodes having burnt out long ago in the soft moss, now preserved in a vault in Kidderminster.

They have been replaced by “Plumaris” & “Caitlin Beta”

These two machines have been programmed to provide the necassary vocalizations and movements. Original members Mr Jones, Mr Lloyd and Mr Spragg complete the crew on Bass, Guitar and Drums respectively.

Also joining the ships crew is the long lost “Captain Bagley” Providing Stage show antics and a puzzeling visual antidote with the live show aspect.

A special mention goes out regarding Mr Steve Price who's great efforts playing 2nd Guitar on the night of the first gig will always be remebered affectionatly.

"Dave Schmidt aka Sula Bassana was born in Berlin at the 27th of January 1968.

Dave first entered stage in 1985 or 86, can..t remember, as keyboardplayer of the electronic duo Solaris. Several electronic duos and trios followed. In 1994 he co-founded the psychedelic rockband Liquid Visions. They released 5 albums and some singles on several labels. In 1997 he founded Zone Six to create spontaneous psychedelic spacerock trips. Zone Six are still existing and released 5 albums. In 1998 Andi (Growing Seeds) and Dave formed the studioproject Weltraumstaunen to record some excellent freak outs. Two albums were released on Nasoni-Records. In 1998 he moved to Bayreuth (Bavaria) to fill the drummers seat in the spacerockband Growing Seeds. But in early 1999 they gave up and he went back to Berlin. They just released one vinyl-single on Pleitegeier-Records. In early 2003 he left Liquid Visions.

There was also a little episode with a nice ambient, drum'n'bass and dub-project called Space Shuttle Pilots, but sadly without any proper release.

Sula's first solo-album Dreamer was released on Nasoni-Records in 2002. More albums followed. Dave played in several projects, such as Psychedelic Monsterjam, together with Mani Neumeier on drums and Ax Genrich on guitar. Two live-CDs were released on Sunhair-Records. In 2003 he co-founded the psychedelic-postrock-project Südstern 44, together with Ellipopelli (ex Growing Seeds) and Julius K (Zone Six). There was one album on Nasoni-Records and one CD-R released by the band.

In late summer 2006 he moved to Austria and founded his label sulatron-records, plays guitar in the young local rockband Alice Dog and has started a new project called Interkosmos, with Sergio Ceballos (guitar and vocals, from RIP KC, Spain), Bernhard Fasching (drums, from The Blowing Lewinsky) and Dave on bass. He also played some gigs as guitarplayer with the Øresund Space Collective in Germany and Norway.

He also jammed on stage with the following bands and musicians: Gas Giant, Circle, Damo Suzuki, Keiji Miashita, Horst Porkert, The Movements, Electric Orange, Niagaragain, Spheric Lounge, Annot Rhül and members of Seid... mostly in Germany, but also in Austria, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland and Norway.

Stone Oak Cosmonaut are a new Dutch trio who play a monster blend of Space Rock, Metal and Stoner Rock. The band consists of Fred Stack on "space guitar", Peter on drums and Von Trippenhof on bass, electronics and vocals. And if the name Von Trippenhof sounds familiar it's probably because he did some time in the late 1990s with The Legendary Pink Dots.

The band burst out hot and heavy with "Keph-Tun", a pounding slab of Space-Metal. Swirling alien electronics, crunchy metallic guitar and cosmic space guitar. A solid opener. "A Circle Run" is next and we're now deep in Stoner Space Rock territory. These guys know how to incorporate the electronics into the music so that it all gels nicely. And Von Trippenhof's vocals sound a lot like Wino, so between that and the music this sounds like it could be Spirit Caravan gone Space Rock (I told him that and he had not previously heard of Wino or any of his bands). And again we get a great mixture of heavy stoner and bubbly space guitar, which culminates in a mind-blowing spaced out stoner-psychedelic finale.

"Away in the Laika", "The Gift of the Eyeless Merchant" and "Oh Yeah" are other solid stoner space metal tunes I enjoyed. "The Gift of the Eyeless Merchant" is probably the most intense song of the set. A genuine battlecry for war feel. And Fred really rips up the solos on "Oh Yeah". "A Light in the Dark" starts off dreamily ethereal and trips along like that for a couple minutes before launching into a heavy rocking stoner-metal-space rock blast. It's got some of Von Trippenhof's most potent vocals and a killer cosmic jam segment. "Reborn Again (Latter Day Beelzebub)" is a bit different, having a good time, though totally grungy, rock 'n roll edge to it. It's melodic, almost pop, on the one hand, but in no way dispenses with the powerful metallic flavor of the rest of the album. And interesting song with contrasting styles.

But the highlight… the standout… the ultimate monster of the album, is the two part, 25 minute "Out of Orbit". "Earthless" is part 1, and starts off as an easy paced spacey song with both freaky electronics and proggy synth washes. Soon Von Trippenhof's bass starts to get a groove going, the drumming gets increasingly rocking, and when Fred's guitar kicks in we're in full power trio psych rock mode. Fred briefly plays in a Hendrix style until the band abruptly shift to the now trademark Stone Oak Cosmonaut metallic rocking vibe. And back and forth they go, between intense stoner metal and ripping spaced out psychedelic jamming. Lots going on here, and I really dig the hip shakin' psychedelic boogie-woogie bits. And when we get to part 2 - "Star Voyage" - its 14 blissful minutes of heavy, take no prisoners JAMMING! HEAVY duty metallic, rock 'n rolling SPACE ROCK! Absolutely fucking awesome.

This is without a doubt one of the best albums I've heard this year. Walter at Roadburn should consider these guys for the festival next year, especially given that they're right in his back yard. For fans of First Band From Outer Space, Earthless, Litmus, and of course Hawkwind. Highest as a kite recommendation! ~ aural innovations

"LA's Volume. That's right, Los Angeles DOES have a real live rock n' roll band aside from Smoke and whatever project Greg Anderson happens to be involved in.

Volume isn't afraid to wear the LSD n' lipstick stained banner from 1968. This thing screams names you've heard before when referring to the greats... Blue Cheer, MC5, even White Album - era Beatles. So yeah, it's got some retro flavor to it, but 'Acid Rock' is a much better description than the current favorite, 'Stoner Rock'. I mean listen to "Make Believe" and tell me that's not acid-inspired. Listen to last track "Headswim" and tell me that's not BAD acid inspired. The remainder of the album is more Wayne Kramer than Wayne Kramer these days - catchy, fuzz-drenched, and all feel-good. First track "Habit" rocks with a chorus that all addicts, horny humans and leeches of the state can relate to - 'Gimme, gimme all I want, gimme, gimme all I need'. Chances are you fall into one of those three categories. In essence, we can pretty much all relate.

Hats off to guitarist/vocalist Patrick Brink for not only the rock n' roll portion of the disc, but some brilliant cover artwork as well. Also, kudos to ex-Smile and current Fu Manchu skin slammer Scott Reeder for some very Keith Moon-ian drum work on Requesting Permission to Land.

A word of warning - I thought the disc was over after the first listen, so I took a lil' snoozer on the sofa next to my stereo. I was just about to doze off when Patrick's voice comes full blast out of the stereo saying "That's a wrap, momma!". Scared the piss out of me. Fucker." ~ by Chris Barnes @ Hellride Music

"Out of the ruins of 'Reeder' (former band members) rides 'Koyen' with their high energy simple rock medium tempo desert/pop tinged numbers. It reminds me of the same level of energy that bands like Dozer come across as having, well that and other things in common.

It's safe to say that the members of Koyen probably describe their sound as desert rock, and why shouldn't they? It's got that same sort of Kyuss/Queens/Desert Sessions vibe.

The vocalist is definitely going for that melodic soul singing s t y l e similar to John Garcia, and the guitar tones and leads could be equally compared to Homme's s t y l e on some levels. Nonetheless, these guys are good at what they do and rock out...and that's what it's all about, the Koyen sound that is.

Simple desert blues rock numbers with soul, not quite as good as the originals but what is? On the same note it would be unfair to say that these guys sound exactly like any of those bands...there is definitely some indie rock flare thrown in here and there, and the songs are more actual written songs than jams if you know what I mean. "After being fed up with urban, quasi-intelectual music such as post-rock and minimal-noise, Tigrova mast was initiated in 2003. by Tvrtko. At that time he was a guitar player in famous but short lasting noise-pop-punk band Invisible Ghost Luigi. At first Tigrova mast was just a project composed of bass (played by Tvrtko) and accordion, played by Bruno who also was and still is a guitarist of Peach Pit, a well known croatian arty-farty math-rock band. Introduction of folk instruments and almost rural elements into traditional noise rock schemes made a cut in the works of these two musicians. Soon the band rehearsed with different drummers and keyboard players but none of the combinations worked out.

In 2004. a third guitar player joined in - Niko, the founder guru of psychedelic Seven That Spells, once again not playing a guitar, but keyboards. In the meanwhile the accordion concept was abandoned and was replaced by Niko's keybs and Bruno switched to drums and so the band was finally formed! After lots of live gigs in 2005. the first record was made. It was published by Russian RAIG records (www.raig.ru).

"In the summer of 2005, The Other Window managed to record their debut album in 2 sessions at Kewsound studios in Somerset. Their first gig was to open the Greenbelt Festival in Cheltenham. A series of fortean events have dogged the band ever since. Some say this is due to their eerie music opening "doors" The debut album "T H E . O T H E R . W I N D O W" contains six tracks, the longest being 'Beyond Science Fiction' which clocks in at 16.04 minutes. The song contains long improvised sections and was recorded in one take, like most of the album. Very few overdubs were used in the making of the album and it represents the live sound of the band extremely well. All the songs on the album were recorded and mixed in 2 ten hour sessions at Kewsound studios in Somerset.

The six tracks on the album showcase the bands massive musical range, swinging from the mellow space ambience of 'Nebula' all the way through to the raw energy of 'Persecution'." ~ MySpace

"The idea of SESTA MARCONI dates back to 1999, when a group of 15 years old friends from the south of Italy set out their musical destiny. After the period of playing cover songs, in 2002 the band started creating their own music. By the end of the year they not only played live a lot, but also composed several songs, two of which ended up on their first demo, "Black Soul Star", falling stylistically between seventies hard rock and classic heavy metal with strong doom metal overtones. The LP4 has been carrying the Texas Psych torch since the Mid-90s. Following in the footsteps of the Mike Gunn and Dry Nod this seven member quartet has been praised in the pages of Ptolemaic Terrascope (UK), Rockerrilla (Italy), Magnet (USA), Broken Face (Sweden), et al.

First off, it's almost impossible to describe its music in some kind of pithy rock-crit manner. Psychedelic space metal for the Mensa set is about the best we could come up with, and it doesn't quite encompass all that the LP4 does. It's not quite a stoner rock band, nor pure psych rock. Some songs could be likened to the spacey Britpop of Super Furry Animals and Spiritualized, or even early Pink Floyd, but members also bust out with a little hardcore here and there and even occasionally cloak themselves in the black garb of a death metal band. "The Machine plays heavy, psychedelic rock in a powertrio tradition. The current line-up exists since October 2007. Shortly thereafter, they released their debut album “Shadow of the Machine” on their own in December 2007. This record marked their entry into the stonerrock scene and gained some modest international interest.

The follow up, “Solar Corona”, will be officially released by the band on May 30 2009. This release will be done with the German Nasoni Records and will be available on both CD and (coloured) 2LP vinyl. “Solar Corona” features long, partially instrumental tracks which

contain a lot of diversity. These Dutch guys offer you straightforward heavy riffing, melodic passages and atmospherical soundscapes.

When playing live, The Machine regularly stretches songs by incorporating improvised jams in their sets. Everything’s done with a passion

and chemistry, that a lot of contemporary rock is missing. The band is already writing new material for a next album and has some (inter)-
